Winter Conditions On The Fall

Winter Conditions On The Fall

There is no doubt that Winter is here in full force, and the fishing on the Fall is starting to reflect the change in seasons. Good numbers of fish have been getting a little more difficult to find, we’ve been receiving mixed reports as to the number of fish in the system. Regardless, there are still fish around and many of them can be fooled with a decent presentation and the right fly, but this season’s days of catching big rainbow after big rainbow seem to be slowing down. This being said, we are still having a ton of fun out on the Fall, and typically bringing several fish to hand on each outing. There has been decent opportunity to fish dries and emergers during a mid day BWO or Midge hatch, and crowds have thinned out a little with the winter weather and the mountain opening up. Let’s hope we continue to see fish in the system in the coming months!
