THE INCREDIBLE SCENERY AT LAKE IN THE DUNES
Only two weeks until our Educational Weekend at Lake in the Dunes. There’s still room for all three days. The dates for this year are April 15-17. You can come down for 1, 2 or 3 days, with a price break for doing all three. Each day will consist of three clinics and several hours of “Fun Fish” time.
A GROUP CASTING LESSON ON ONE OF THE LAKES
This year should bring the same changeable weather and the same insane fishing! Merv Abe from the Aloha Café will be preparing meals all weekend and his delicious food is included in the price.
ONE OF THE LAKE DENIZENS
The property will be ours for the whole weekend so come down and camp, eat, fish, wander to your heart’s content. The Lodge at Summer Lake still has some availability, as does the Ana Reservoir RV Park if you have a trailer and want hook-ups.
A STUDENT FROM LAST YEAR’S PROGRAM
The property is wonderful for camping either in a tent or in your trailer. The cabin is there for the bathroom and kitchen. So whether you can only make one day or all three, this will be a rewarding and fun educational experience.
A GROUP OF STUDENTS FROM A COUPLE YEARS AGO
The cost is $150 per day or $400 for all three. The meals included will be: Friday lunch and dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch. Please contact the shop at 541-318-1616 or Griff directly at 541-480-4280 or at griff@flyandfield.com
11TH ANNUAL TROUT BUM FLY SWAP
Our 11th Annual Trout Bum Fly Swap is April 2nd and 3rd here at Fly and Field. We will begin taking all your unwanted and/or unused gear Monday, March 28th. For those of you unfamiliar with the Fly Swap, here’s how it works: You bring us the gear you’d like sold; we agree on a two prices-one for Saturday and one for Sunday; if your item(s) sell you can either have 70% of the sale price in money, or 100% in store credit to buy something you will use. This event is well attended every year, so if we put the right price on your things there’s a really good chance it will get sold. Just get your things here by 5pm on Friday the 1st. The other side of this coin is if you are in the market for good “experienced” fly-fishing equipment, you will find it here. Every year there is an incredible selection of quality gear to sift through. In addition to the “consignment” part of the Swap, the shop here will have thousands of flies marked down as low as $8 per dozen. We also have an ever-expanding rack of last year’s merchandise; everything from Fly and Field Swag to Patagonia and Simms outerwear to Korkers boots and Patagonia waders. This is a weekend-long fest of great prices for killer stuff. Mark your calendars and come on down. The hours each day will be 8am-5pm. Contact the shop at 541-318-1616 for more info.
