Don’t Forget!
Make sure to be here for our first ever Women’s Only night down here at the shop. We’ve put together a great evening of discussion, giveaways, and guest speakers for our many angler gals. We will be covering the basics of fly fishing, entomology, equipment overview, fishing reports and casting instruction. The response has already been overwhelmingly positive. So if you haven’t already, check out the Facebook Post and RSVP. The event is Wednesday July 8th from 6-8pm.
Lower D
The Lower Deschutes is still hot! Yes, both the heat index and the fishing! Clients have been consistently grabbing nice redsides of dries and nymphs. While the fish are no longer lining the banks, waiting for a pinky-sized bug to fall out of a tree, they are in predictable lies, eating predictable bugs. The evening, right at last light, can be especially fun if you’re into casting dries. These redsides will give your reel a run for its money so be ready! If you would like one of our expert guides to join you for a day on the river, just click over and see what we have to offer on our Lower Deschutes Day Trips.
Upper Deschutes
There are some big fish being caught on the Upper Deschutes riverand Cascade Lakes this time of year. From brook trout to browns, we are finding a consistent number of beautiful, hungry creatures. Our Walk-and-Wade Trips have been going really well lately. With the upper Upper Deschutes River -the water between Craine Prairie and Little Lava– now fishing well, we have options as to where you’ll go.
