The Crooked River has been running steady in the 230-270 range for several weeks now and is fishing well. Caddis hatches have been strong and fish have been keying in. You would be wise to have a nice selection of caddis sizes and colors to match the hatch on any given day. Many of them are in the 14-16 range and tan or olive but there are also smaller black caddis. Nymphs will also be important during non hatch times and nitro-caddis, green rock worms, walts worms, and green czech nymphs have all been effective. Aside from caddis jigged leeches, pheasant tails, ray charles, two-bits, and skinny nelsons have also been producing fish.
