Twin Lakes Update

Twin Lakes Update

With access still limited to many of the area stillwater fisheries, the Twin Lakes have provided excellent early season lake fishing opportunities to those itching to enjoy a sunny day on the water. Both North and South Twin have fished very well, and a variety of tactics are finding fish. Indicator fishing has been the best way to find numbers, with Chironomids and buggy lake nymphs being the go-to. For those who want to cover water and stay a little more active a Wooly Bugger or Leech pattern on an intermediate line has been finding plenty of fish, start with a slow retrieve and vary it to find what the fish are looking for. Both lakes are being stocked consistently, and we’ve been seeing pretty good numbers of relatively large fish. Look to the Twin Lakes as one of the best stillwater options until roads start to open up and we get better access to our summertime favorites.
