Twin Lakes Report 10/8/21

Fishing at Twin Lakes was great over the past week. This week, the fish might slow down a bit due to the cold wet weather coming in. The best time of day to get out will be around midday. Dry fly fishing will likely be unproductive now that freezing temperatures are here. Callibaetis may still hatch sporadically. Leeches have been amazing on the Twin Lakes, either stripped or  under an indicator. Streamers have also been finding some sizable rainbows. Nymphing has also been productive. Birds nests, assassins, chironomids, and midges are the top picks, keep them on the smaller side for the best chances. Winter is coming in fast, head out to your favorite lakes before they freeze up.
