East and Paulina lake continue to fish well on balanced leeches, chironomids, callibaetis and damsels. We have heard reports of some excellent callibaetis hatches on East and great dry fly fishing. Using a Beetle, ant, or chubby pattern rather than an indicator when nymhping is a good idea. Stripping small buggers or baitfish patterns has also been producing some fish. Expect small kokanee at East when nymphing. The same sort of things have been working on Paulina as well. Three Creeks Lake has been good, stripping small streamers and suspending flies like balanced leeches and chironomids under an indicator has been working well. We haven’t heard too much about hosmer recently but leeches, chironomids/midges, and stripping buggers is always a good idea out there. We have been hearing some good reports coming out of lava on leeches/chironomids as well.
