The Crooked River has been fishing well. Nymphing is the best method for targeting fish all day long. Zebra midges, two-bits, scuds, and rainbow warriors are all flies we like to use on the crooked. Pmd’s and caddis should be kept in your box as well for if and when you do find rising trout. Dry-dropper setups can be fun and effective on the crooked as well. Swinging flies before and after prominent hatches is also a fun way to get some grabs.
The Crooked River has been fishing well. Caddis make for fun dry fly opportunities on some days and should be kept in your box in a variety of sizes and colors. Nymphing remains the most consistent method for picking up fish and zebra midges, tailwater tiny’s, two-bits, and slim shady’s are some of our favorites out there. Swinging soft hackles and small streamers is also a fun way to pick up some fish.
