The Crooked is fishing well. Water levels are still at 179 CFS. Caddis hatches are killer, most are around size 14 - 16 in a green or tan color. Pale morning duns are popping off too. Typically, we fish nymphs in the mornings and then right around noon it’s go time for the dry flies. As always, using the nymph or pupa pattern of a bug that's currently hatching is very productive. Pupa and mayfly imitations would be my first choice, midges and scuds are a good backup. We’ve got some beautiful weather in the forecast, get out to the crooked before the hot weather comes through.
