We just want to get this one back on everyone’s radar as we consider this a great spring and fall fishery. As the water starts to cool down and the fish can move in the shallows, the fishing can get really good! We have not spent a ton of time up there yet but the time we have has been good and we have had decent reports from other anglers as well. Most of our fishing efforts have been on stripping leeches and buggers in the shallows. Nice long, slow retrievals. Fishing these on a loop knot can be very successful! If you are not into the leech and bugger game, you can focus on fishing a dry dropper in the shallows as well. We recommend fishing 5x fluorocarbon tippet and to fish with little midges, chironomids, etc. We like the size 18-20 two-bit hooker, size 18 tailwater tiny olive, and size 16-18 pheasant tails.
