So much cool stuff has been going on around Fly and Field Outfitters the last couple months. I’d love to recap and and also fill you in on what’s going on in the near future. First of all thanks for all the positive -and flattering- response to my Deschutes River story a couple weeks ago. It was great fun to write and it pleases me that so many of you took the time to read it and send such kind words. If you missed it I believe it’s in the Fishing Reports section of the website.
The rivers have been really good, lots of consistent action and great clients from all of the place. We’re so lucky to have a beautiful place to work as well as interesting, enthusiastic, cool people to take fishing. None of us here at Fly and Field take for granted the blessed lives we live. We are constantly grateful. Our new guides are having productive outings, the veterans are enjoying another busy season and the shop is doing brisk business daily. So again, from all four chambers of our hearts, thanks to everyone who calls us their fly shop!
Out on the lakes, our guides have been getting after some of the best stillwater fishing anyone can remember in these parts for some time. A massive congrats to our longtime client, Wes for landing this Crane monster a couple days ago. The fish of the season, and that’s saying something. It should be noted that Wes is not a small fellah. That’s just a very large trout.
As we move into the second half of the summer we look forward to helping in any way we can to further your experience as a fly angler. Whether it’s through our free monthly educational series, one of our weekend long education programs, casting or on-stream lessons, guided trips or just hanging out at the shop talking story, we are here to make you love angling as much as we do.
Tight LInes until we see you again!
