The Upper Deschutes is fishing okay. Green Drakes have been around on some days and make for some fun dry fly action. Nymphing is some of the deeper pools and around the undercuts is the way to pick up the most fish. Adding a small split shot to make sure your flies get down quickly can be beneficial. Stripping streamers around some of the downed timber is also a good method for targeting aggressive brook trout. Fishing on the upper should continue to improve as summer moves along and it's tough to beat a day up there.
