The Metolius has been fishing well. An abundance of insect activity on warmer days makes for fun dry fly opportunities this time of year. It is smart to be prepared with golden stones, caddis, PMD’s, and BWO’s. Nymphing continues to be effective and it's hard to beat a golden stone trailed by a small mayfly or caddis pattern. Stripping large streamers around some of the downed timber in the river is a good way to target some bulls.
