Lower Deschutes- Warm Springs to Trout Creek
June 13, 2017
It appears the stonefly hatch is just about done. We have had guides on the water the last few days. They have been reporting that big bugs (naturals) are drifting over fish but not getting looked at. However, the caddis is starting to pop off. We have been able to stick a few fish on edible emergers, xcaddis, and outrigger caddis. Fish size 16-18 on these. Tan bodies have been the best. We are also seeing a consistent number of PMD. FIshing under the bobber with a two bit hooker (red/olive), olive anato-may, and micromay is getting the job done. Small sizes on these guys as well, 16-20.
