There are a ton of fish in the Fall right now and it’s fishing well as we’d expect. We are catching lots of fish on small Midge and Mayfly nymphs, red seems to be the hot color at the moment. The key on the Fall is presentation, so make sure to use small indicators and fluoro to maximize chances of success. There has been a decent PMD hatch around noon, which will bring fish to the surface when there are enough bugs out. Stimulators and terrestrials are finding the occasional fish throughout the day, and are best fished in the warmest hours of the afternoon. A big foam terrestrial pattern can make a great, light indicator for delicate subsurface presentations with the added possibility of bringing a fish to the surface. All of the standard access points have good numbers of fish at this point.
