Our guides have had some off and on days with good fishing overall out on the crooked. Algae can be a problem but flows have stayed consistent over the past couple of weeks so it shouldn’t be too bad going into the weekend. Sporadic hatches of PMDs, BWOs and Caddis have been coming off but nothing super prolific so get your nymphs down deep or fish the riffles and faster water. Two flies under and indicator, Euro nymphing or a dry dropper are all great ways to pursue fish on the crooked, just make sure that your getting deep enough and using 5x and 6x tippets. If the algae becomes a problem try simplifying your rig, maybe only fish one fly or take off the slit shot to minimize the amount of algae getting caught during your drifts.
