The Crooked River has had a rough couple months with very high fluctuating water levels that haven’t receded for some time. With around 1400 CFS coming out of Bowman Dam, I would imagine the fishing to still be very tough, and until the water recedes I don’t image a huge improvement.
For those adventurous enough to give it ago, I would concentrate my fishing a few miles below the dam to start and fish the slow water where fish have had a chance to hide from the current. In the pools and slow water you could find fish with various dead drifting techniques, especially with midge patterns. Other options include swinging and slow stripping leaches such as buggers or ruby leeches.
