Our favorite little spring creek continues to impress this winter. While access to the “Tubes” remains a bit dodgy, the Hatchery water is open and full of fish. From “Ed’s Hole” to the flat water around the bend fish can be found eating and active most days from 10:30 till 3 working on midges and BWO. We’ve seen success with everything from purple Zebra Midges to big brown Crystal Flash buggers to San Juan Worms and egg “patterns”. And the popular dries include #20 Hackle Stackers and Purple Haze.
So get out and enjoy winter fishing at its most beautiful and fun.
