If you are fortunate enough to go to Lake in the Dunes, be ready for excellent surface fishing as well as subsurface fishing. A prominent callibaetis hatch usually begins around 10am and will last until roughly 2pm. Also, look for damsels throughout the day and evening. If you intend on fishing subsurface, be sure to have an intermediate line or sink tip. Short, slow strips with brown or black buggers will prove to be deadly. The fish are hungry, hot and ready to be caught. Fish with a 4wt or a lighter rod if you are looking for some extra fun.
