If your wondering, the Cascade Lakes Highway will be completely open from Mt. Bachelor down. Hosmer is a little different this year and from our previous spring reports of using bright buggers for the Atlantic Salmon and Brook Trout. This year, odfw will not be stocking anymore Atlantic Salmon. Instead, Cranebows will be the new fish of Hosmer. With lots of weed growth and lily’s, small aquatic water boatmen, callibaetis nymphs, zug bugs, and baby buggers stripped near the weeds should fish great. Chironomids can work too early on and using smaller sizes are better. Hosmer is breathless in scenery and before the heat of summer, the traffic will be down allowing more fishing access. Get on out there!
